I have a 1998 Newmar with a Spartan Chassis. This past March the rubber linkage connector for the rear air bags broke. I found a Spartan Dealer where I was traveling, Fort Myer, and they replaced the connector and readjusted the ride height. Ever since I cannot dump the rear bags, only the front dump. The rear dumped before I had the problem and the repair.

Worse yet, today, 4000 or so miles later, the same rubber linkage broke again. I had to patch it with duct tape. Anyone else having repetitive problems like that? Solutions?

Any thoughts?

Lou

You could make sure that there is indeed 12v volts being supplied to the air dump solenoid which is right there at the ride height valve. It is possible the solenoid has gone bad. Unbolt it, take it out from underneath the coach then apply 12volts DC to the connector leads, should be able to hear it snap open/closed when power is applied/removed. Since the leveling arm is broken can you pull the leveler arm towards the ground and hear any air escape from the small tube? (If there's no air in the bag already start the coach after a couple minutes running you can push the lever up and it will air the bag up.)

My previous post on these: Air Ride Leveling linkage
