2004 Dutchstar on MM chassis. At random intervals, while traveling, the front air guage will drop to zero and back to normal pressure. This sets off the alarm and wakes up the driver. Gauge comes back up way to fast to be an actual air problem. Anyone have a similar problem? Any ideas on a fix?

I had a similar problem on a Freightliner 2008 chassis. We too didn't have an air problem, but an indication problem. The Freightliner instrument panel gauges are all digital. In other words, there is one line (wire) from the computer to the front dash. The line is daisy chained to each of the gauges. The readings for all the data such as speed, rpm, oil pressure, air pressures, etc., are multiplexed (all sent together) up this wire and each gauge knows which part of the signal it's supposed to display and picks it off the line, ignoring the rest. I simply took all the wire connectors between the gauges and randomly swapped them around. All readings were still OK due to the multiplexing, but I never had the intermittent failures again. I don't know if your Dutchstar uses the same system, but it's worth a look.
