Air Pressure Sender Issue

Last year I replaced one of the 2 air pressure sender units (Stewart Warner #82894 150psi) that was bad and the new one worked immediately and went up to 125psi like it should. Today I replaced the other one with same part no. and it only reaches 75psi on the dash gauge. Does this sound like it is defective or could something else be going on?

Swap the first one you replaced with the second one.
If the air pressure changes with the swap, return the brand new one and get another one.
If the air pressure doesn't change with the swap, then yes you have another problem that will have to be fixed.

I had a new one that I installed that was defective. I installed another new one and it worked just fine.
Hope that your results are the same, easy fix.

Not sure who you are referring to but mine are under the front driver side near where the steering linkage comes through the firewall.

Update

I made 2 trips to a "local" truck parts dealer in Houston to get the part: to get it and then to take the defective thing back (32 miles one way = over 125 miles total, across Houston). At least they refunded my purchase. I was going on a trip the next day so I wanted one in a hurry, so local.

We cancelled the trip (postponed it). You can do that when you are retired..... Nowadays, it's not work but golf that interferes with my camping trips.... Oh yea, my wife's tutoring business too, I forgot about that.

I got another sender today from Summit Racing online and will install it soon.

I installed the sender this morning and everything works, 125psi on the gauge. My biggest concern was the air pressure at the sender when removing it. I left the coach overnight and did not start it up this morning and I pumped the breaks numerous times. I used the jacks to get a little more clearance for myself. I slowly unscrewed the sender and almost no air came out. Success. I also asked my DW to come along just in case something went wrong, she was the next of kin....

Not many of us around. Mine is a 390 Marlin DP (39'6"). Mine only has 31,500 miles and I have remodeled it quite a bit. Have some pictures at:

We bought ours in 2005 with 25000 miles on it. Was barely sued. We now have almost 75000 on it. We have the 5.9 isb cummins . About less than 5000 miles ago we had to have the motor rebuilt because of what Cummins called a freak incident. Of course no warranty .Many $$$
Yes we have looked at your pictures . Nice job.We have also put in the wood laminate flooring .What a job. I think the only other thing we have done it remade the front cabinet to accommodate a 32 in flat screen tv.
You are right not to many of us it is nice to keep in touch. We belong to the Dolphin RV club which is a good source of info too since the Tradewinds is a pretty close match to the Marlin.
Be well and safe travels
