Bilstein or Koni

My drivers side front shock is leaking!!! So I need to replace it. The suspension on my 08 KSDP is the Reyco Granning model IFS 1260 with a GAWR of 12600lbs. Now the question!!! Which shock manufacture do I go with, Bilstein or Koni, or other?? If any of you have the product number for your suggestion please provide it -- it will aid my search. Thanks to all who respond!!!!

Just switched from Blistein to Koni on my workhorse w-22 and the ride is greatly improved. The jolting from road bumps is gone. My Blisteins were almost new

I don't know about your chassis but I replaced the Bilstein's with Koni's on my Workhorse UFO chassis and it made an unbelievable difference in the ride. I have a nearly new set of Bilstein's that I will gladly give to anyone who wants them!

I switched to Koni's last month. The ride is greatly improved. And the Koni's are adjustable, so can make them harder if porpoising and softer if the ride is too stiff.

Koni, without a doubt. I did it once and would do it again.

I am a Koni dealer, they are on back order until feb. We replace blisteins with Koni's all the time. Alway great feedback, Makes you rv ride smoother, quieter and helps with wind and passing trucks.

How do You "adjust a " Koni Shock absorber? I keep seeing this on postings but can't quite understand how it would be done. Do You twist them like on a Motorbike or do they come with an Air Pump?

Hi RobRV,
For the front shocks, one would twist the shock to get the desired firmness. Instructions are in the box. They are shipped, from the factory, at the softest setting. I left them there and am happy. The rear shocks adjust automatically.

Koni --After I changed all four I could not be happier!! Set the front to one {or maybe 1/2} turn off the most firm setting. Made the change in Quartzsite. Brazel's RV Performance.

Koni's hands down. Still can't figure the instructions for the adjustibles. Just pictures. It doesn't say which way to turn for stiff or limp. I just set mine in between stops.
