I use 2 sources 1 spartan and 2 if I dont need the rig for a week or so I get the old pads to a brake relining company, who bond new linings to the original backplates, doesn`t always work out any cheaper but the rebuilt pads seem to stop better, and do not seem to wear any quicker.

Check the listings in your area for heavy truck parts and brakes. As stated in the above post, most larger cities have an establishment which relines shoes for heavy trucks and trailers (class 8). Your DP RV shoes will be the same as some of those and they should have relined shoes in stock for exchange. If not they can re-line yours. If you can't find a listing then call your local Cummins or class 8 truck dealer, the service dept can let you know who to call.
