i seen this post that was made today
i am not sure if the nice guy posting it well come over to this website
but i think it should be seen just the same

I can't seem to see th pictures on that other website. I am impressed, BTW, that Spartan is sending investigators to inspect the coach. That is good and gives us the best chance to get to the bottom of this.

I saw the other post also. Glad everyone is ok, and happy to see Spartan is looking into it. Hope we can get more info as it becomes available.

that is a steering bracket recall, not sure if this is related.

I actually sent a copy of this post to Spartan for their comment. I received a very prompt reply from them saying there is no recall applicable to my VIN and that since I am not the original owner, they will register my name so I will get any future recall notices.

After looking at all the posted pictures, I do not think the casting broke suddenly while driving. I think it broke from hitting the concrete barrier. My reasoning is; it is a clean break without any signs of being previously compromised, which would have allowed previously-fractured metal to darken from exposure to the elements.

We got the recall notice a while ago. Our unit has had the stock 12,000# front axle replaced with a 14,600# unit. According to Spartan's records the problem bracket was not replaced so I need to have it inspected.
