Have to have the coach in Charlotte for work in March and need a motel that accepts pets, 22# Schnauzer,and as close to the Spartan location as possible. Super 8 is all we've found so far and it has poor ratings, has anyone stayed there - is it a problem - any other suggestions? thanks

J., I have travelled extensively with dogs having been a K-9 handler for 23 years. Typically, Motel 6 accepts dogs and in general I've found them to be cleaner than the Super 8. With other motels it's hit & miss as to whether they accept dogs.

We were there last September and don't remember a lot of places for accomadations. Try calling Katie Eminhiser in the service office. Her number is 866-383-3695 X 3406. She is in Chris' office and they are all great people.

This is an update on the Super-8 Motel in Charlotte, we're there now during work by Spartan. This is a newer motel, staffed by local folks, is very clean, has a very large parking lot with spaces marked for motorhomes/18-wheelers and we are very happy with our accomodations - so is the black Schnauzer! Larger "suites" are available with a workdesk etc. We're only a short drive from Spartan, Enterprise will deliver rental cars to the motel, fast food, including delivery, abounds. If Spartan is able to improve the "ride", and we have reasons to believe they will, we will be very "happy campers"!
