Just went to our local Tiffin dealer as they just had a new Allegro Bus 43QRP roll in and in checking it out saw that the aircleaner intake to the engine was out of its tube and that the engine has been sucking raw air for its delivery trip from Red Bay to Colton Rv on North Tonawanda, NY. I sure hope this does not happen to my new coach that is on order.
I think I will send this to Tiffin also as the poor person that will buy this will have trouble with the engine latter on.

I wonder which hose came off?
Typically I would think that the air cleaner comes pre-installed to the engine by Spartan since the chassis can be driven around both prior to and after delivery to the coach builder. That hose that connects the filter to engine should be solid since it's not touched by Tiffin.
If the the Tiffin installed hose that connects to the air snorkle stack came off, it shouldn't be a big deal since that is before the air goes through the cleaner, however if the Spartan hose came off between the filter and engine, the engine would have ingested dirt.

The hose came of at the bottom of the air cleaner that goes to the engine.

Very good catch Gary!
Anytime there is not proper filtration or an open hose between the air filter and the engine, and dirt is ingested by the engine, it can be devastating.
This affects all manufacturers of motorhomes and serves as an excellant reminder to check the air filter hose clamps for tightness.

I would be willing to bet that during the manufacturing process at the MH plant, someone had to loosen the fitting to make a part of the home fit on the chassis and it was not retightened. I am like the other replyers --- I would bet that it was tight when it left Spartan. In my case, all of the clamps were on the top (and it was the devil to get off the first time) as the chassis did not have a body on it and the normal thing to do would be to put the tightening nut on top.
