A couple of days ago I noticed coolant on the concrete under the front of my rig. I first thought it was from a heater hose or two that were wire-tied to a frame member, but after cutting the wire tie and letting everything dry, I now think it may be from the plastic item in this pic immediately above where I originally thought ... what is this? It is located to the driver side on the outside firewall inside the generator access panel ... heater hoses go into the bottom, and come out the the top ... heater control manifold/valve of some kind? I need to get the engine warmed up and then do a thorough check to determine if this is where the leak is, but for now it appears to be the source ... drips from the bottom of the bulb portion.

Vacuum controlled coolant shut off valve ( sometimes called a " Ranco " valve)possibly only available from the dash board HVAC system supplier.

Look for a makers name on your dash system ( Evans / Tempcon is common) and check the web for a manufacturers site, and parts info.

This is one of my favorite specialty tools I bought for my 07 MADP. A must for a DP DYI'er. The Stant kit and the appropriate adapters for your application. Pressure test your entire engine /coach cooling system and the expansion tank cap. I found numerous clamps that needed a bit of tightening. Aids finding component failures like your valve. I think the entire set up was under $200 bucks if I recall. Paid for itself many times over.

It appears to be an Omega. Try Omega 4 Port Bypass Vacuum Plastic Heater Control Valve

I haven't got back to it in the past couple of days other than to notice it is no longer leaking on the concrete. I need to crank it up and get it warm, and then see if I can determine exactly where it is leaking. It could be the two clamps immediately above the valve ... the screws feel tight but are a bit corroded so the clamps may not actually be tight on the hoses.
