Drive shaft connection

Had the turbo go out on our Essex and had to be towed. The tow truck driver removed the drive shaft for towing and when he put back in he said I think that's the correct connection. Contacted Spartan and they said the drive shaft only goes in one way but when I was under coach it looked like the splines would line up numerous different ways. Wanted to check with my irv2 Spartan forum people if they know about connecting drive shafts. As always thanks ahead of the answer.

I don't know about yours exactly but a lot of the bigger shafts have a keyed spline set up where it can only go back together one way yet you could not tell that once it's installed.

My coach has been towed twice.
Both times the tow truck driver removed the driveshaft for towing.
However neither tow truck driver put my drive shaft back in.

I recommend that you have the shop working on your turbo problem verify that yours was put in correctly.

On tow truck forums re installing the driveshaft after a tow is like gas versus diesel coach threads here has been for years.

Some manufactures state do not reuse the bolts as well as use a torque wrench, some require Lock Tite be used while others say use a new kit with straps, there are just so many pros and cons about the subject

Here is the proper way. Notice the caps in line thru the splined slip joint.
