What I learned about Spartan fault codes is they are different then the Cummins fault codes. We have a 04 Essex with a 500 ISM and when the check engine fault codes were read they didn't match Cummins. Spartan codes are different but I was able to find a list that gave me the Spartan codes transferred over to Cummins. That was over 10 years ago and I don't remember were I got the information. Our code reader does give the area or part that the code came from.
On my 07 Travel Supreme with Spartan chassis and Cummins ISL motorI experienced the mid 128 engine code frequently when pulling hills. I called Spartan and was told this was engine crankcase breather over pressure.
I replaced the breather and have not had the code come up since.
