7138,
Was Spartan able to give ride height info, and have parts to cover repair?
Was it a bad job to get done?

Sounds pretty much the same,my rear was ok, but the front would loos air intermittently, sometimes within minutes or weeks. I have a Mountain Master Chassis,03 Travel Supreme. After 3 weeks seems to be holding ok. The valve #90054007 is what i used.

Phil, to reconfirm the air brake foot pedal relief valve was causing the front airbags to leak down?

Is that the p/n in your post? If so, who is the manufacturer and where did you get the part?

Yes that is the part number,it is not the original one,i would have to crawl under the coach to get you the manufacturer. Got the part from Spartan. Also i would think each coach builder would have their own application, the original valve was Tuthill Transport Technologies #90054520. Hope this info helps.

Jim, yes that's what was causing mine to bleed off. I could hear it starting to Hiss/buzz when the air tanks were pressured up. This was a bear to replace. That valve that was leaking is facing forward so you will not see or hear it from inside. The only way to get to the bolts was for me to pull myself up between the fiberglass front cap and the panel the unit is bolted to. If you can get to yours maybe take a short piece of hose and hold it up to that valve. If your can't hear a hiss consider that good.

So to sum things up so far the cause of leaking front air mage could be
1. Bad rear height control valve.
2. Bad front height control valves.
3. Bad foot pedal air brake valve.
This is of course after checking all lines, bags and fittings with soapy water.
I did find the test procedures for the height control valves so I dont have to shotgun expensive parts.

Problem solved. We finally had a cold morning here in East Central Florida and I decided to grease the chassis and while I was under the front of the coach I heard a hiss. The drivers side height control valve was leaking out of the exhaust port. I had the valve replace and no more kneeling and the tanks are holding air. I have been chasing this for months and sprayed soapy water on the valve many time but in warm weather the leak was so slow I could never find it. The valve was 98.00 and a 1/2 hour labor. I have seen the valves as low as 58.00 online if you choose to do it yourself.

GaryKD,
I'm getting condensation buildup in my "#1" Air Gauge (located on the dash instrument panel). Could this be part of my front air bags losing air problem or do I need to change the Air Dry Filter?

When I was at Spartan in 2004 I bought spare rods, an electrical spare kit of the hard to find relays and fuses, and spare belts.
I replaced the belts and put the old but still usable ones under the bed. I have yet to use any of the other spares but at least I have them if needed.

When was the air dryer last changed? I changed mine after about 6 years and it was still OK and we live in the PNW (PacificNorthWet).

I get condensation in my gauges as well but it must me the humidity here in FL. Once the coach is running for a while the lights in the gauge dry it out. The gauges are electric so it can't be moisture in the tanks.
