We have a spartan chassis on our 99 American tradition. We are trying to figure out how everything works, and appreciate everyone's help so far.

We think we would like to release the suspension air when we park, so we are lower to the ground. We have the "air release" button on the dash, but pushing it does nothing when we are sitting. Does anyone know the proper use of that button? Engine on/off, etc?

We have automatic jacks now, but pushing auto level does not release the air in the suspension and lower the coach.

Thanks.
Mark

I have no knowledge about your particular coach.

Now, having said that, on mine, the ignition key must be in the accessory position (far left counter-clockwise) for the air to dump. Try putting the key in different positions and see if the air will dump.

Good luck!

Hi carmantx,

If you have an HWH leveling system and automatic leveling this is the procedure I use:
  1. Put transmission in neutral.
  2. Set the parking brake.
  3. Turn the engine off but leave the ignition in the "on" position.
  4. Press the “HYD” Level button to turn on the panel.
  5. Press the “HYD” Level button a second time, the air will dump and when finished the coach will level automatically.

After much trial and error, here is how our system works. I thought I would post this in case anyone searches and needs the same thing.

Pretty simple, once we get pulled in to the spot, push the air release button first, the suspension then releases air and coach sits, then parking brake, and levelling.

On my Revolution LE the automatic jacks dumps the air as part of the automatic leveling. I just press one button. Nice
