Our 98 DSDP doesn't have a problem in spite of the fact that one Airbag has noticeable cracking!

Air bags losing pressure is no more "normal" than tires doing the same! Our older '88 Winnie has air bags all the way around, and all held PSI perfectly but one on the rear - would deflate in about a week. I bought a new replacement bag (after checking air line and outside air valve), and figured it was replacement time. Upon removing the old bag, I found the fitting on the top - inaccessible when the bag is installed - was a bit loose, and probably the culprit.

I went ahead and installed the new bag, the old one checked out perfect under test after removing it - and now all the MH air bags are good for MONTHS - perhaps longer!

SOME air bags have a specified minimum air presure - too low can cause internal damage - worth checking out!

i agree that it seems to be the norm. I am not happy with that and plan to take the coach to a Coach Care facility. I could crawl around under it and my have to, but while it is under warranty I am going to go that way for now.

Thanks for all of the responses.

DOT safety inspection allows 4 pounds loss per hour. After a few days work and new ride height valves, my 97 American Dream loses around 40 pounds a week when parked on the jacks.

"You have no air dump switch, but your suspension
has an auto dump that works in conjunction with your
jack system. It is not imperative to dump the air bags
for storage or parking because the coach will settle
on its own. On the other hand, If you feel that you
want to dump it you can always manually lower the
jacks “just enough” to activate the bags to dump."
