Hydraulic Oil Level check 02 DSDP Spartan

Does anyone out there know where the Hydraulic Oil tank is located for the levelling jacks on a 2002 Dutch Star 350 Cummins on a Spartan chassis. They sometimes get a little fussy and chatter when extending them, I suspect the level may be down a tad.

Hello, your Dutchstar is 2 years newer than my Mountain Aire, same chassis.......Open the rear engine door on the rear of the Coach and look to the right of the engine.......it is about 2' tall(with 3 filters in it) and about 10" round. There is a sight glass towards the top on the side of the tank, and a dipstick/fill opening on the top.

When helping others with HWH jack problems , I have had to track the pump/reservoir down by tracking the noise the pump makes during operation . Every make and model is different, mine is on the passenger side of the gen set, just behind the front bumper.

Chattering is usually caused by dirt or rust on the jack shafts themselves, low fluid would only become a problem when the jacks are nearly at full extension.
Use caution when going under the coach to clean them , block from the ground to the frame.

Our 2001 Dutch Star on Spartan chassis is located on the passenger side right behind the headlight, same as mike2007 said.
