Not sure it matters as when I replaced mine I could only get a 5 gallon bucket which is far more than you'll need.

Paul, I just changed the oil and filters In ours today and 3 1/2 to 4 gallon is what it took.
It has been recommended on the Entegra forum when changing the screw on large filter to get a NAPA gasket / O ring part # 5758 rather than the one that come with filter.
Thatís what I used and it has not leaked. Some say they have had problems with the supplied O ring leaking.
Itís tricky getting the 0 ring in place and not falling out. I put a film of grease on the O ring to help keep in place until I screwed the filter on.
After getting the filter in place take a strong flash light and observe around the base of the filter to make sure the O ring has stayed in place.

Thanks Richard.

My plan is to pick up the NAPA O-Ring and do exactly as youíve done. This year all I need to do is change the external filter. The internal and external filters will be changed next year, along with the 3 - 4 gallons of fluid. Thank you for confirming the fluid quantity.

I picked up a couple of rubber stoppers/plugs hoping that when I plug the reservoir fill hole itíll keep the fluid from coming out. Some folks on the Entegra forum claim they have used something to plug the filler hole and then changed the external filter without loosing much fluid. Iíve never done this and will be a little nervous as I remove the filter.....

Paul I didnít mention it but I sat an open top 5 gallon bucket under the filter and took a center punch and hammer and drove a hole threw the bottom of the filter to let it drain. Did something else while it drain and removed the filter, no spillage whatsoever.
The filter is on there very tight. Used a breaker bar on my filter wrench to break it loose.
