Leaf Spring Bushing

I am told that the cause of a major squeek/squack in our right front suspension is the bushing between the leaf spring and the frame, I guess. They are pulling the spring and having a new bushing made for it. Does this make any sense?

The truth of the tale will be told when the job is done and the squeak is gone. The only part of the story I wondered about was the "having a new bushing made" because unless a special size was used by Spartan, I thought it would be an 'off the shelf' part at a truck parts shop.
