My wheels are accuride and as previously stated have lost several caps both L/f and R/f. I bought some inexpensive hubcaps the other day for $6.54 each...2 for me and 2 for the fellow parked next to me with a Mountain Aire who had lost his from accurtide wheels. We installed using the recommended dabs of silicone. I have driven only 300 miles, but they are still solid.

It appears that the hub cap supplier (Hub City ) has issued a "Pro-Active Update" for this issue. Spartan redid the securing mechanism utilizing the "Hub City Update" as a warranty item.

Well while spending 70 plus days at the Newmar Factory they replaced front wheel seals. Chris the Spartan rep. gave me a good talking to about how hard it was to get my front caps off because I had put them on with silcone. Well guess what less than 200 miles from Newmar my P/S front cap is gone. Called told them to mail me one, and was told I would have to buy it. Great customer service!

As I posted, it's less expensive to buy non-Spartan logo caps and no freight charges.
Gary I followed your advice on the silicone...now I offer it to you LOL

Hi Ken,
Welcome to iRV2. Call Spartan at 800-543-4277. Follow the prompts to get to service. Tell the Rep about your problem and ask how to acquire the caps. The vendor I was working with may no longer be the supplier. Earlier this year, a new version of the caps was released. If you buy, make sure you are getting the 2009 version of the caps.

I have Accuride and have lost a tag axle cap and a front cap.

The tag axle and rear axle top hats slide over the bracket which has tabs that try to grab the top hats via friction. When you remove the top hats to inspect the tag axle oil level or for claening it's important to bend the tabs out to put more tension onto the top hats. If not, they will walk off.

The front caps just stick into the aluminum rim's center bore and have tabs as part of the hubcaps. these too need to be bent out a bit once removed in order for the small stamped barbs to effectively grab the rim.

They now sit nice and tight and don't walk off but I always bend the tabs to retention them whenever I remove them.
