Lost low brake pressure warning tone ?

I googled this subject and found one post about the tone generator. Supposedly this item is no longer made.
I called Spartin today and they have one but it's $355. Does any one have a better/ less costly solution. The item is an Entertech tone generator, part# 183-GG-003. There's another # that's 4470-23.
If I knew it was the problem I might be tempted to just pony up and buy the new one. Problem is I have no way to test the old one. I read Dutch star Don cut the housing and replaced the speaker. I'm afraid to cut the unit not knowing if any thing is wrong with it or not. It was working 2 weeks ago. I swapped the front and rear gauge wires to see if it was an issue with the sending units to the gauges but it still didn't work?
Any one out there have any suggestions? Mikee

Used from HDT salvage yard? This part should not be unique to Spartan chassis, as air braking systems are purchased, not made from scratch by each chassis mfgr. Try visiting some local HDT parts stores with your part in-hand.

Just located this low air pressure warning buzzer.
You'll also see low pressure switches and many other items there.
Hope you can make it work.
