Low pressure alarm 2002 Eagle
Hey gang,
On my 02 Eagle the low pressure alarm stays on for about an hour and then slowly dies out. I figure i have a bad switch/sensor. I aired up today and then tested the sensors that are on the fire wall. Two show resistance and one shows no resistance. If i unplug the one showing no resistance, should the alarm shut off?
Thanks in advance
Jake

I'm going to say yes. The sensor should be a normal closed switch. .....Is the sensor only one wire?

.....Did you try it? Unplug and see. If that doesn't stop it, put a jumper, like a paper clip or short piece of wire in the terminals on the connector. One or the other should cause it to stop buzzing and replace asap....

Unplugged each one and the buzzer still went off. Will try the jumper tomorrow.
Thanks for the help. Will post results.
Would you suspect there would be more than one sensor for each side of the air?

I have a pneumatic schematic that someone put together themselves on a Fleetwood (Revolution/Eagle?) of about your vintage. I have used it a couple of times myself and have found it helpful if not 100% applicable.
Unfortunately I am out of the country for another week and a half so do not have access to it.
When I get back to the US I will retrieve it and forward it to you if this thread shows you still might need it.

Where are the sensors located that you replaced? Are you sure those are the pressure warning sensors? Not brake light sensor?
I can't get to mine until tomorrow, but I'll look for them

There are 3 sensors on the firewall near the brake pedal. One is a brake light sensor/switch, two are low pressure sensors. When i plugged everything back in after replacing two, the brake lights are on when aired up. I must have switched the wires around. Working in it this AM.

Some sensors are normal open, others are normal closed.....
Generally low air are normal closed, then when psi reaches set point, the sensor "opens" the circuit and the light goes out...
Brake Light is normal open, then when pedal is pushed, air psi "closes" the circuit and the brake lights come on

This is wierd. I have three sensors, two are on the same side of air and one is on the other. I replaced one of them and connected the old ones as they were before. The brake lights work as they should as the sensor that operated the signal was open when I installed it, so the air pressure is closing the signal when I press on the brake pedal. Cool. But when I plug a new low pressure sensor into the other sensor wire, the brake lights come on with no pedal pressed, so the brake lights are getting a signal from two sensors? That doesn't seem right.
Any help is appreciated.
Jake
