Lube Cooling Fan Drive Shaft?

New K2 owner, and now getting into maintence schedule. I can find the cooling fan unit, but I sure don't see any obvious way to lubricate it's drive shaft. Can anyone describe or share pictures on how this can be accomplished? Thanks!

Question.
Is your coach equipped with the Cummins engine and belt driven side radiator fans ?

There have been a couple of posts in the Cummins engines , and Freightliner chassis forums , about changing fluid in the gear boxes.

Cummins driven mechanically but not by a belt. It looks like a great big speedometer cable maybe.

Your fan drive should be a hydraulic fan drive. I think Spartan may put a mechanical drive on for some manufacturers, necessitating the inclusion in the manual.

On our Essex with a K2 chassis and a mechanical drive fan the drive shaft for the fan drive has grease zerks that are recommended to be grease every 5K. They are grease from under the coach and there are 3 for u-joints and one for slip coupler. Good idea to drive shaft at the same time. This is important and not done on many coaches because it isn't easy and you need to get coveralls out to keep from getting grease on your cloths. Most DS have a hydraulic fan drive so double check what fan drive you have.

I think what you are seeing is the hydraulic line to the fan motor. The current Spartan K2 was the old Mountain Master.
The old K2 was a different animal which is the current K3.

Lube Cooling Fan Drive Shaft?

Yes, you all correct. It's an Italian hydrolytic motor. Obviously doesn't need greased. Click image for larger version

Yep no shaft, I do believe there is a maintenance interval for fluid change in gear box
