Has anyone moved their fuel filter location...My friend has an 03 MADP it's a twin to ours...except his fuel filter is located at the back of the engine easy to access. Mine is on the side of the engine and very difficult to change....anyone ever done this.
Thanks in advance

Many/most MH's have two. Sometimes one is at the rear and the other on the pax side of the block. I confirmed by vin search with Spartan & Winnebago the 2nd was not added to mine. A friend with identical coach has 2 ...1 was hidden and not getting serviced. Yours likely has just the one on the block. Your friend may have a hidden one on the block. Cummins sells a filter relocation kit with all the parts required. I had Cummins SW in Albuquerque move mine in 2006. It took two guys (one from bottom and one from top) most of the day to get it done. PARTS $174.79, LABOR $469.20 = TOTAL $687.46

Usually only if the chassis buyer specified (and paid extra) that there be two filters. Some did some did not and it may vary by the years also.
Our 2000 DSDP on FL with CAT 3126 had two, our present 2002 DSDP on Spartan/Cummins has only one and it's between the block and frame and rather hard to get to. The do have a kit to move it to a remote location for about $300 plus labor. Not sure if it'd be worth it on our 2002 rig at this point.

I had Cummins South put the dual filter on my 350 HP ISC. I had the one filter one where the filter was mounted above the starter on the passenger side of the engine. The total cost for the filter kit and the install was around $500.00. Had it done in 2008.

Cummin South is a regional designation with locations throughout the region ..as is Cummins SW, SE, etc. That was pretty much the same as mine cost as Cummins SW in Albuquerque. May Dave will be back and mention which Cummins South location he used.

I used the Cummins South that is just outside of the perimeter in Atlanta, Georgia. Off of Interstate 85 South. They are also a Coach Care Center and have done a lot of work for me. Very professional shop and well run by Bill. I would recommend them for any work that you needed done on your coach. I have also called them when I have been stranded and Bill has talked me through two problems to get me going --- course he knew that I would be coming to him to correct the problem I was having .
