Question Parking Brake light

I have a 2000 Newmar Dutch Star on a Mountain Master 2242 chassis. The Dutch Star is a 3852 model. I hope this gives one of you guys enough information.

Question: where is the sensor, switch that activates the parking brake light when you set the parking brake?

I have seen videos that show a sensor on the/a firewall. Spartan says it is a ground wire under the dash. I cannot find either of these items. I have been under the coach in the area where the two air lines from the parking brake come out but I cannot find a sensor switch for the parking brake indicator.

Here is a piece of information that might be pertinent, when I release the parking brake I here a wheezing sound coming from the parking brake actuator on the dash. Sometimes the parking brake indicator light will come on within 5 to 10 seconds, sometimes longer and sometimes not at all.

So if anyone has any knowledge about this chassis and the parking brake light actuator I would very much appreciate knowing what you know.

Thank you in advance.

I see you have 58 views of your post and no help yet , so I'll throw in my 2c worth.

Get in touch with Spartan and get an " air system diagram " for your chassis.

Reason being ( please remember this is coming from a Freightliner chassis owner ; who just had to replace the , park brake buzzer sensor on his coach).
Freightliner uses two sensors on the park brake system ; both operate on lack of ( or low ) air pressure in the park brake release chamber ; one for the light , one for the buzzer. So if the light is on , and the buzzer is not , the light sensor is defective and vice versa.
Both sensors on my F/L chassis , were above the rear suspension on the frame, there is no electrical connection to the dash park brake control, only air pressure to release the park brake and a vent to apply the brake.

Very possible the parking brake light switch is on the parking brake dash valve, can you access the dash mounted push/pull valve? If you can remove a piece of dash, or perhaps look up under dash at valve you may see it.

I have found the answer to my question. I got the answer David Martens at Spartan. He was able to find a diagram for the air system for my chassis.

The answer is: there is a block under the coach where the air system gauges, brake lights switch and the parking brake light connect. Since I have changed the air systems pressure sensor a couple of times, I know exactly where the sensor for the parking brake light is located. Thanks to Skip426 for getting me to go back to Spartan to get the air system diagram.
