Safe Haul Ping Tank Lanyard

I was looking around the DEF tank compartment today and noticed that there was a lanyard in there.

Apparently it’s for the ping tank moisture ejector. I hadn’t been informed that there was one and there’s nothing in the Spartan Manual about it.

Here’s a Safe Haul component description that was provided to me by Spartan:

“Safe Haul is a factory installed air source for towed vehicle brake systems that require an air signal from the chassis. It is not to be used for supplying air pressure directly to foundation brakes on the towed vehicle (IE Do not use for a trailer with air brakes). Main components of the system include a pressure protection valve, air reservoir, relay valve, and female quick connect adapter.”

Here a diagram:

Normally you'll have at least 2 lanyards to bleed moisture from your primary and secondary air tanks. My lanyards are just inside the LP gas tank compartment which is open on the bottom.

This link explains using the RV air to provide a braking system for your toad.
