Setting ride height on Spartan

I am having a little trouble setting my ride height on my 45' motorhome with spartan chasis. I have the specs and when I get the front set you are suppose to "tweet" the right front a little to set the left rear and visa versa. According to Spartan, the front and rear adjust this way. However when I do this , one side of the back is lower than other side and I can't seem to get them the same and then the front is off. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

What do you mean by "tweet"? Mine had exact measurements and the exact location to do the measureing in the spartan manual.

I have the correct measurements however spartan said that on this chassis (I gave them the sr#) that to set the ht. both front and rear , to set the front and that rear was controlled by the front valve and if the rear wasn't correct then to just adjust a little up or down on the front valves to get the back in adjustment. They used the term "tweet" as I was not very familiar with the term or meaning so I asked. However after doing this I am still not sure if this is right way. This doesn't seem logical cause when the front is right the back is off a little so I adjust then the back is off.

Maybe they meant "tweak"?

One caution adjusting ride height.

Ride height, wheel weights and motorhome leaning are all inter-related. All 3 are affected by ride height adjustment.

I had my ride height adjusted at Spartan as they can weigh each wheel in the process.

On my mountain master w/ ifs there are leveling valves on each front wheel. The rear has one valve as the rear axle is solid across.if you adjust the rear it won't change the front measurement and the same with doing the front, i checked and measured mine as i did it last year. As far as weight, when you put more weight on the lever moves and the air goes in to keep the set distance so your camber does not change. I would think if you have indpendant front suppension you will have 2 air level valves, one on each side. And one air level valve on the rear axle. And...if you have a tag axle it will have its own air level valve.....let us know what you do. Hope this helps a bit

Thanks for the info.
I know the front does have an air valve on each side to adjust. On the rear you are right cause there has to be an air valve indipendant of the front bags and also one for the tag. I guess I just did't give it enough thought as I have not been under mine to see exactly how it works. I am not sure exactly what spartan was telling me about setting this ride ht.

I would be real careful if you are crawling under the chassis to adjust. If the chassis drops you could be seriously injured.

Safety..
Take a minute to drop your leveling jacks to within 1" of the driveway as a safety or set up horses under the jacking spots (chassis) with a 1" clearance so you can go up & down as you adjust and still work safely.
Safety is common sense.. can make a worker comfortable or or uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable safety wise may make for a poor job. job done safe is easy.

Steering/ride height/Alignment

I was having a terrible time steering with wind, trucks etc. I just had an alignment done 2 months ago into the bargain.
A discussion with Spartan brought up ride height which I checked & found 1.5" too high on front, The adjustment went easy but now I find I have to have the alignment done again because of the height change. The recommended place to have it done was Josams in Orlando. Getting it done on my way home to NJ. All the front end stuff seems to be interrelated.. change one you have to do the rest.
