When I push the intermittent wiper button on the smart wheel the high beam indicator lights up on the dash and stays on until I turn the headlights on and back off...is this normal....the headlights were not on when this happen.

Could be normal. On my AC, the wipers and lights are tied together in so many ways I can't remember them all. Check your manual.

When you turn on the wipers the headlights are supposed to come on and stay on till you turn them off with the switch. That's the way it works on our 2002 DSDP.

What Mr D says is right, and you just happen to have your high beams on. Switch to low beams and the light should go out. IIRC they also go off when you shut off the ignition also.

Yeah, Fleetwood / AC is satisfying legal requirements in many States and in all of Canada ... wipers on? = lights on! You just happen to have high beams selected.
