Linda and I just spent 3 days in Charlotte participating in Spartan's first owner training session.

The class was 3 FULL days. The first two were conducted mainly by Greg Rhinehart and Mike O'Brien and covered the chassis very well. The third day concentrated on driving, and was conducted by Bill Charron, a very experienced driving instructor for Semi's, motorcycles and RVs.

The best part of the class (for me) was a private walk around of my rig with a Spartan tech who was very familiar with the chassis. He pointed out where various components of my chassis were located, I wrote these locations down on a sheet which Greg then had laminated - so now if I have a problem, and I call Spartan, I might actually be able to find the hump hose, or the manual override for the air bag dump valve that the tech on the phone is referring to.

In all, I feel that this was time and money VERY WELL SPENT, and recommend this class to all who are interested in learning more about their chassis from people who know.

Happy Travels

Mike

Hey, Mike !! THANKS for posting this info on the training classes at Charlotte. Didn't know about them and I think we'd REALLY benefit from such training!! How'd you schedule yourself...and... how much are the classes?? Could you park your rig overnight onsight?? Thanks again. Steve & Lynette

If you go to spartanchassis.com, click on RV, then click on events, you will find the RV chassis training program listed as an event. You can click on a hyperlink which will take you tto registration.

The cost is $525, which includes camping at the nearby county park for 3 days, and a very nice lunch every day.

The classes are set up for couples, but no offence is taken if the DW kinda sneaks out (if she gets overloaded with technical info).

Spartan also gave us some very nice gifts on the last day --

Again, Linda and I feel that this was time and money very well spent.

Happy Travels

Mike
