Spartan roadside service

I talked to SPARTAN yesterday on the phone to make sure I was reg. and in the system. Everthing was kool. In talking to the rep. He stated that as a new owner of a Spartan chassis that they supply 3 years of full roadside service. So to buy a policy from Good Sam, or coach net would be a waste..From you good Newmar owners is this true..I forgot to ask him if I use the SPARTAN roadside service, is there a deductable?........VACMAN

Spartan pays for the roadside assistance, which is basically just phone service. They'll also pay for some service calls. But if you need roadside service because of something not a chassis warranty issue (like an accident), they won't pay for the service call.

We went ahead and got the Coachnet policy. It covers non-chassis issues, and lots more that are outside of Spartan's coverage.

In addition, Cummins and Allison will pay for the tow if it's their problem, so I agree that for the first 3 years no other roadside assistance plan is needed.

Doesn't cost you anything, except time. If you should happen to need the service, as I did twice, make sure you have your Spartan # handy, your location (mostly in reference to a road/exit), and what the problem is. You will be towed to the nearest appropriate facilty for repair. The facility will determine what the problem is, and be in touch with Newmar (or Spartan) about what needs to be done, and what parts are needed.

Spartan uses Coach-Net for the Roadside service. I needed to call them once when my MH was only a few months old for an Allison electrical issue and they were excellent. Spartan (Coach-Net) called me to follow up when a tow truck would be arriving and to make sure I was not in a dangerous situation on the road side. I got my MH started in "Limp" mode and Spartan gave me the location of the nearest Allison dealer. It turned out that the wire harness from the transmission shifting pad to the transmission was shorted. Replaced harness and good as new. Spartan called to follow up to make sure I was happy with the problem fix. I have been very pleased with Spartan service and they always call to make sure you are satisfied. Very customer oriented company.
