Spartan Service Centers

I have developed a small leak from my radiator. It's a pretty well known problem from Spartan. I went online and there are two service centers near me, per Spartan website. Called the nearest one and they were too busy to give me an appointment. Took my contact info and would call me back. Five hours later I called again. This time I was told that they are busy with fire trucks, that they work on motorhomes in the winter. So I called the second service site. Told them my delemma, they said they would have to check with Spartan as they were un sure if they were an authorized repair facility. When I assured them that they were on Spartan's website, they agreed to schedule an appointment. I don't have A very good feeling about this.

Spartan Service Centers

Call Cummins Sales and Service, 700 Aero Dr, Buffalo, NY 716-829-1700. Cummins in Texas and Florida have worked on my RV.

Also, if you call or email Spartan RV customer care they have a list of additional shops that aren't listed on the site.

Two months ago, we were having air related issues with our Spartan chassis. Between San Francisco and Sacramento in California. The Spartan website was woefully out of date. Called Spartan to get up to date info. Spartan suggested I use a Freightliner dealer in French Camp.

Are u serious? What reason did they give for such an absurd recommendation?

When I was talking with Spartan about Spartan warranty service in Arkansas, he gave me the name of a place that they use (that wasn't listed on the website), but also said they work with a lot of Freightliner shops around the country for warranty repairs, and some of them are officially spartan authorized as well. I think the Spartan authorized means they've gone through certain Spartan specific training, but beyond that, Spartan is very flexible on having work done by any qualified diesel shop and covering it under warranty.

The one authorized Spartan dealer from the website was not able to see us for about 3 weeks. All the other authorized dealers on the website no longer were Spartan shops. Heck, one of them was only a storage lot!

Not to worry, after Spartan sent us to a Freightliner shop, Spartan would not help them with the diagnosis. I learned my lesson! $$

Some Cummins shops and independents are listed (such as Brazel's) authorized by Spartan to perform authorized work, but the more intensive work tends to go to the Freightliner shops with Spartan authorized mechanics.

I'm in the Rochester area as well. We have a American Revolution with a Spartan Mountainmaster chassis. Could you let me know how you made out? I am wanting to schedule a chassis service towards the end of this season.
Hope you are enjoying the Entegra!

Cummins also unofficially recommended Freightliner to me as well.

The Spartan service centers webpage has a lot of incorrect information. I tried to contact one in Indianapolis, no answer. Looked up the address on Google maps, it was in a house subdivision.
It's always best to do as Tim Fox and talk to the place directly, and follow your gut, as he did.
