I will be driving home in a rental car tomorrow morning. (unlike the Newmar rental, I will have cruise this time)

Engineers from Hendrickson, some parts and a new tag axle, just in case, will be here next week.

I will say that Spartan is taking very good care of me in several ways.

The table in the lounge area has been my desk for 5 days. It is right in front of the reception window. A few folks that walked in thought I worked here. I finally started to play along.

Just to clarify,it was an Enterprise rental car from Elkhart and not something that Newmar provided....

Scott and I laughed as he was forced to wait for someone to return a car before they could even give him a car....Not a large Enterprise location I am thinking, or the weather was wreaking havoc on their schedule...

Update:

Spartan is replacing the entire tag axle. I pick it up Tuesday. I drive it BACK to Newmar to weld on the hangars, cut down the jack pads and put the jacks back on.

My coach has a problem with "crabbing" as it goes down the road. Anyone else had this experience? Can I assume Spartan will take care of this?

Bob,

It's also known as "dog tracking". It usually means the drive axle alignment is off and is a normal adjustment when having a 2 or 3 axle alignment done. We have a 4/9 appointment at Spartan to address alignment and other driveability issues.
