Skip, did you do the air leak test that Jeff told you about?? If the brake side of the canister is leaking you (our your wife, as in my case) will hear it. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE RUBBER DIAPHRAGM ON THE PARKING BRAKE SIDE. The spring that holds your brake on when you apply the parking brake is very strong and a lot of people have be hurt trying to repair them. They are not that expensive. The only thing that you have to do with a new one is make sure you cut the threaded shaft the right length before you install it. Just measure the old one and cut it the same, no problem. To remove the old one you will have to remove the bolt that should be on the canister, it has a little bracket for it. Take it out and install the "t" end into the hole in the back of the spring brake, turn it until you feel it lock into place, install the nut and tighten it until the brakes release. Then take out the cotter key in the pin and remove the mounting bolts and the assembly comes right out. If this happen when you are on the road, do the same thing with the "t" bolt and then us a pair of vice grips on the supply line to the parking side to the brake. This will at least get you to where you can replace it. Just remember that you then only have one wheel parking brake, no parking on steep hills. Good Luck Skip
