Solution...I think

I blocked the tires, left the spring brakes off, shut her down and went out side, crawled under and found my left ABS relay was passing continuously. Ordered a new one...we will see

I just bought a new air dryer from napa for 27 bucks. I guess I will go install it now. Copy this text you your address bar and you get the part number on napa's website.

Hey Scott,
Disconnect the electrical plug from the ABS valve as a test to be sure it's not doing something it's being told to do by other parts of your brake system. I'm sure with what you said it being just the one side passing air, it's the valve it's self, but just to be sure you don't also have another issue going on. As an example, a dirty wheel speed sensor can do the same thing, and can be fixed by just pulling that sensor and cleaning it and the teeth on the wheel hub.

Skip, did you do the air leak test that Jeff told you about?? If the brake side of the canister is leaking you (our your wife, as in my case) will hear it. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE RUBBER DIAPHRAGM ON THE PARKING BRAKE SIDE. The spring that holds your brake on when you apply the parking brake is very strong and a lot of people have be hurt trying to repair them. They are not that expensive. The only thing that you have to do with a new one is make sure you cut the threaded shaft the right length before you install it. Just measure the old one and cut it the same, no problem. To remove the old one you will have to remove the bolt that should be on the canister, it has a little bracket for it. Take it out and install the "t" end into the hole in the back of the spring brake, turn it until you feel it lock into place, install the nut and tighten it until the brakes release. Then take out the cotter key in the pin and remove the mounting bolts and the assembly comes right out. If this happen when you are on the road, do the same thing with the "t" bolt and then us a pair of vice grips on the supply line to the parking side to the brake. This will at least get you to where you can replace it. Just remember that you then only have one wheel parking brake, no parking on steep hills. Good Luck Skip
