How hot should the wheels get while driving in these hot summers days?
Came home the other day from about a 200 mile trip on a 95 degree day and just noticed the wheels was very hot to the touch. Just curious???

I can make a guess. Last week we drove to the top of Pikes Peak and coming down the steep grades we came to a stop sign and a Park Official with a remote temperature gauge. He checks wheel/brake temp to make sure brakes have not overheated on the first part of the down grade. The cut off is 300 degrees so I think you get them to hot to touch.

We have smart tire and on a 90 degree day on the interstate the front wheels run 140-150 degrees and the rear around 100-110 degrees.
