Hello All,

Well Today We took De Dutchess out for a Spin , it was time for a bit of exercise, anyway As the temperature is starting to get cooler here on Vancouver Island I figured I should Try out the Heater Controls! Well it appears that there is No Heat or certainly none reaching the Front Driving area. The Heat exchanger that helps the Water Heater to Heat works just fine but I can't say the same for the Comfort Levels at the front driving /passenger areas!
I'm guessing that there must be a shut off valve or 2 somewhere that isolates the front Heater. Does anyone have any idea where I should be looking?

1998 Spartan Chassis under a 1998 Newmar Dutchstar!

None that I know of on my Spartan chassis, other than what is operated by the dash controls ... wonder if your dash controls are perhaps not working properly to "turn of" the heat???

I'll be doing some further digging . The AC/Heater Control on the Dash is a pretty simple design and Since this Unit has spent all it's life in a warmer climate the Flow control valve for the Heater may just be stuck closed.

Yep it is the Evans Electronic Coolant flow control valve that isn't working! I have contacted the Manufacturer to get the price on a new one. I wonder if Ford have a Listing locally as this part is used in several different vehicles.

The Part #is Ranco RV 218545

I don't understand why Newmar or Spartan don't have Manual shut off Valves close to the Engine. The Heater Hose has to travel a long way to the Front Dash. That's a whole lot of Antifreeze Spilled if something lets go!
