I don't have a Harley but love the sound. Harley riders should be welcomed anywhere in my book. I guess the same park forbids high performance cars also.

Hi folks: I started this forum a couple of years ago to get those of us that combine our motorcycling and motorhome activities. It has taken a few twists & turns since that time but I agree with Tinkerer that we should focus on the positive. I'd like to offer my recommendation for a biker friendly RV park and it is Koyote Ranch in the Texas Hill Country near Medina/Bandera/Kerrville.
While not exclusively a "biker" facility it's about as close as you'll find anywhere. The RV park is not fancy by any means...gravel sites, no landscaping to speak of etc but of the 50 or so sites there you're likely to find 10 or more are occupied by folks with bikes...Harleys, Beemers, Triumph, Suzuki etc. They also host a number of biker type ralleys throughout the year. They also have nice log cabins scattered throughout their 100 acre property as well as good camp sites. The views right from the MH are fantastic. The best part though is the riding in the area is great with lots of cool places for day rides...Lukenbach, Coopers BBQ, Bandera, and lots more.
Went there for a week last year and stayed a month! We're currently in southern Arizona (Naco) heading back to Koyote for the month of March. We do not often go back to the same place twice. So if anyone is heading that way give'em a try! Hope to see you there.

On our very first real RV trip five years or so ago we towed a enclosed trailer with my Harley Softail and DW's Harley Dyna Wide Glide. You will notice our forum names HD4Mark and HDGlide6. The trip was from our home in central NY to sunny Florida for five weeks. We planned many stops to get a feel for where we liked. Her bike has HD replacement mufflers (not very loud) mine Python exhaust system (louder but not bad, not drag pipes).
We never even gave a thought to mention to CGs that we had bikes. Told most of them the size RV with an enclosed trailer. Not one problem from St. Augustine to Key West. We are considerate though. Just start them and go. No revving them up, no early starts, no late returns. The comments we got were more like "cool bikes".
We discovered that as much fun as the bikes are they were not very good for groceries or rainy days. I am also starting to have a few problems with mine now but since I bought it new in 1987 I can't complain. So for now we don't tow a thing and just rent a car. It is cost effective for the four weeks or so maximum we can go while still working.
So anyway after all that wind I think the rider determines the popularity of the bike not vice verse. Once again the few bad apples....

We take our bikes with us a lot and when we make reservations we only tell them we have an enclosed trailer. No one has asked what was in it yet. We have gone to Sturgis and back without anyone banning us. The Ultra is stage one and the heritage is stock. Of course, when I come and go I don't try to draw attention and I shut it down as soon as I park next to the RV. I guess just lucky so far.

We encountered a campground in Coronado CA that allowed the bike in but you had to push it to the gate. A very loud Dodge drove by as we were talking and the receptionist did not even bat an eyebrow despite our elevated voices. Loud sport bikes versus loud cruisers. One modifies for performance the other does it to join the noise club. A powerful multi at full tilt is awesome. An unmuffled HD idling at a streetlight is irritating.
