I stopped by the local Ford dealer today to look at the Transit Connect as a possible new toad. Pulled the tape and found the loading area about 12 inches short of my needs for the Harley's. If they they had an option with a longer wheelbase, the Frontier would have been up for sale in the front yard. They said the connect was towable and it could be a nice option for someone with the current configuration.

Thanks for the post. They do look pretty short but can you tell me what is the usable length to the rear doors?

I should have posted the dimensions on my first post: 6' deep, 5' high and wide. Moving the passenger seat forward gave me a 8" but the center goes all the way back to the storage area so you would have to load at an angle to take advantage of the additional space.
