Preston, I did change the 72 from points to an electronic ignition. There is a Harley mechanic here locally that's a guru on old ironheads & only works on Harleys. He rebuilt mine, bored it out, balance it so it doesn't vibrate, even at 80 mph, put andrews cams in it, the works. I have had it 7 years & she still runs like a bat out of hell. I mostly ride my 05 Springer but I love riding the 72, I just have to remember it's a right side shift & left brake.
