I'd get up very early in the morning and ride. Seemed at that time there were no LE and others out there to disturb the run. Make a few runs, come back and pick up DW, and then go have breakfast. I did not feel the road was that "special" as I found a number of them in the area that were as good. On the other hand the energy from all the bikers was awesome. Good conversation could be had at any table or on the side of the road. We bought the Tee Shirt, and sweat shirt and are genuine tourists!

Worry about Ninjas, watch the video. Its those Wingers I worry about!
That big 'Wing was cuttin' it up.

OK... got it!
Actually, just many years of correcting the tourists! At least you didn't call it "Warrior Ball".

My daughter's pet peeve is Lake Junaluska. She got tired of telling tourists it was a Cherokee word not Spanish! The Cherokee words are pretty much spelled phonetically.

And of course Nantahala and Appalachian (long "a"s, long words).

I am thankful you are here. I have managed to disfigure the English Language, cause uncontrolled laughter with my Spanish and so mispronounce any word, no matter what the language, that I pale to think what I could do to Cherokee. They deserve better than what I could give them.

Apparently there is a Master Wing Rider that haunts that neck of the woods. I don't know, but it would be nice to meet him or her.

The Winger is great, but the guy on the chase bike with the video cam was also along for the ride. Sheer craziness. I never got out of second gear, well ok, once.

lorna, and I thought that the name of the Lake indicated it was discovered by a Pole.

First signs of spring, Deals Gap is OPEN and its Bike Week.
