Thanks, guys. And a special thanks to Glen for aiming me at this place. I've learned a ton in a relatively short time.

I think I'm going to aim for a 14 x 7, dual axle, torsion-bar suspension, with electric brakes. My 2 best riding buds each have trailers. One holds 1 bike, the other holds 4. I'd like to be able to haul 2 if necessary along with tools & gear.

I'll be getting a fandom axle v nose with brakes. My bike has a sidecar so I have to go with a 8 1/2 ft wide model. The v nose provides additional storage and if I ever decide to sell it, will sell easier.

We started out pulling our Harley in a 6x10 foot single axle enclosed V nosed trailer that didn't come with brakes. Honestly, I don't know it's back there when it's being towed behind the MH. Then we thought it would be nice to be riding inside something so we towed a Jeep, then we missed our Harley, then we missed the Jeep. You get the idea! Now we bought a open car hauler to put them both on and we'll be leaving soon for AZ.
As far as the comments go on how dirty the bike will get and how long it will take to clean it. It won't be as bad as the Alaska Highway! LOL

There's a lot of options out there when it comes to towing a trailer. As you can see we tow a small Excalibur trailer with a RK in it, no brakes required. I wish I had more room in the trailer for more than just the bike but we have also been to a lot of campsites that a bigger trailer would have had to be disconnected in order to fit on the site. We also like the fact that this trailer also fits nicely inside our 3 car garage for storage when not being used and still leaves room for the motorcycle in the same stall. For anyone looking for a trailer, take your time, think of all the things you want to do with it and find the compromise that best fits the most requirements.
