Your Motorcycle License Puts You on a National Gang List

Interesting that since 1994 everyone who has a motorcycle license has been put on a gang list distributed by the FBI:

Yea

Finally I can get on a FBI List. Wonder which other list I may be on. Maybe not most wanted.

I always wanted to be part of a "gang".

Now I have to come up with a good "gang" name.

From the article...
“It’s nothing more than collecting and utilizing data. We may not like to admit it, but the truth of the matter is that those that own and operate motorcycles are 67% more likely to be involved in illegal or criminal activity than those that do not own or operate a motorcycle.”

Where do they come up with this crap?

It's from a fake web page. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

Wonder if that includes members of the Motorcycle club

Or my friend Ralph who (Summers) Rides a motorcycle that is a specific shade of Royal Blue with maze trim..Winters he and his partner ride or drive a car...Same colors.

(All the above are law enforcement officers or one rank, or title or another).

Story:(Presented to me as true but unable to verify...(not enough info to follow up with))

"Businessman" (Illegal Narcotics type) traveling down the road spotted a bunch of Harleys outside a diner....Thinking to himself "Hey Bikers are into my product" He went inside and made his pitch..TO THE ENTIRE ROOM..... IF you have not alrady guessd the bikers were all Blue Kinghts (Police) you ...Might be...one of his former customers.

Well...He did move all his product (To the police evidence facility).

I just got this e-mail from the AMA a few minutes ago...

AMA discredits Internet story involving motorcyclists

Dear Randy,

As you may have seen, there is a recent story circulating on the Internet about the federal government including all registered motorcyclists in a secret database.

After a thorough review by the American Motorcyclist Association of the article’s sources and the named reporter, we want you to know that this story is not true. Rather, it is a fictional article first created by a satirical website and later picked up by other websites.

In particular:

One of the most referenced websites appears to be the Washington Post’s official website, but it is not affiliated in any way with the Post. Rather, the website URL includes a domain registered in the country of Colombia.
A search of MSNBC's website turns up no original story or a Jeremy Lancaster as a reporter.
Finally, a popular debunking website has already indicated the story is false.
For the latest developments on issues of concern to motorcyclists, be sure to follow the AMA on Twitter @AMA_Rights.

You — the motorcyclist — can count on the AMA to guard your freedoms while you enjoy the ride.

I read this on the Internet, therefore it must be true.
