Red face 12v power issue

I have a 2003 Lexington 235. I have two 12V batteries. While I'm on shore power everything works fine. When I disconnect, no electrical power inside the Coach. I had the batteries checked two times by different people and I. Becker myself and the are good. I visually checked the converter and no blown fuses. My two concerns are: 1. Are batteries connected properly an 2. Is there more I should check on the converter.?thanks for any assistance.

Welcome to iRV2.

If all the interior 12 volt systems work when you're on shore power then the converter is functioning properly.
The problem exists between the batteries and the RV's 12 volt distribution panel , a disconnect , circuit breaker , main fuse or as you suspect a battery connection problem.
Do you have a volt meter and a 12 volt test light?

Could you post pictures of the battery hook up wiring .
Also much info on this site.

Red face 12 VPower issue

Okay. I believe I have uploaded the pictures.

I am concerned that there is a problem with the battery connections and the power is not getting to the converter.

Thanks.

I have to ask, is the 'salesman switch' turned on? If not then your batteries are disconnected from the RV.

The item with the yellow arrow is a circuit breaker , you have to check to see if battery voltage is getting through .
As well as smaller inline fuse holders to both batteries.

12v power issue

Both of the fuses leading to the batteries are intact. I'm not sure what to do with the cable with the arrow. Should it be disconnected? Is the Salesman switch the disconnect switch?

12v power issue

I found the issue. There was corrosion at the wires next to the batteries. There is a selnoid with two hot wires. All interior electrical items are working.
Thank for the assistance.

As I am an electrician I have to ask. What is a salesman switch? Is it the battery disconnect?

Yes. In theory salesmen turn the switch on to show an RV then turn it off when they leave to save the batteries.
I'm not sure that's actually reality though.

I wish people would stop inventing words to describe things when I comes to electricity. What is wrong with "Battery Disconnect". The converter, inverter, and inverter/generator issue really pisses me off. Somone will say " I just bought a 2200 watt inverter" when what they bought was a generator. The newbies just don't understand. People calling an EMS a Surge Protector is another one. They are two different animals. Makes this retired electricians' head spin I tell ya!

Okay. My interior lights are on now, but none of my outlets work. Any suggestions?
