2000 FR Georgetown 27' Steps won't retract (steps brand/model id help!)

Just purchased a used 2000 27 foot Forest River Georgetown. The steps seem to 'try' and make their way up but they just can't do it. The steps try to push forward then they try to retract but it doesn't seem to work. In order for it to work I have to pull on the steps (when i close the door) then when fully out I help out by pushing them back in with my hands.

Are the motor gears shot?

Can anyone help me identify the model number on the steps so I can purchase the correct spare parts (I am not with RV and won't be until May). There doesn't seem to be anything obstructing the path as they retract fully with assistance.

Thanks!

If they aren't bent, they probably just need lubrication. Spray every joint with lube and try cycling the steps. If you crawl underneath and take the cover off the circuit board you should be able to identify the make and model.
