Coachmen: 2005 Mirada dinette "remodel"

We are thinking of changing the dinette to provide a little more room for our traveling companion, a 130 lb. dog. I know - it would be cheaper and easier to leave the dog home. Not an option.

I would like to take the existing dinette out and replace it with something smaller. To get access to the bottom side of the bolts, it looks like I would need to remove two basement storage boxes and some insulation.

Before I start tearing things apart, I would like input from folks that have worked in this area of the coach.

Can you turn out existing bolts in floor to release dinette? If you can just pry the bolt up with s-bar as your turning so nuts below stay in place above compartments.
The bolt nuts would just fall on top of compartments.
You may run into more problems removing compartments if you remove them.

When I did mine (way different basement) some of the nuts were inside cargo bins and some were in open air (wheel well or LP compartment)... using the sawzall with a *demo* blade to cut the frozen bolts from above was about as much trouble as just wrenching the others.

Don't forget you have seat belts there too.
