You say the dash air 'went.' If the fan isn't blowing, I'd look at fuse F1.
If it's the actual compressor, the first thing is to be sure you have enough freon in the system. If it's low, it will automatically shut down to protect the compressor. You can test with an A/C manifold gauge. To check compressor operation, with engine running jumper 12 v directly to the compressor clutch to see if it engages. If it does, you either have low coolant or electrical issue in the circuit.
If it's an issue with the flappers sending air out the proper vents, check and see it it is blowing out the defrost vents. If you have a lack of vacuum in the vent controls, it will default to the defrost vents. Since fuse F7 is for the vacuum pump, if the fuse is blown, the vacuum pump not operating, or a hose disconnected or leaking, that could be the issue.
