Still loading things and have the Jeep hooked up. My safety chains were too short and had to go to Tractor Supply and get some short pieces of chain to add on. Last MH must have had longer hitch or something.....

Made the trip to Albany and all went well. Still getting used to things and organizing, but really like it so far. It will definitely need the front end aligned when we get home. It does wander enough to make it irritating.

Noticed wandering in mine too. First experience with MH. Do you think alignment will cure it?

When I got my F53, I had a wandering problem. Three alignments by the Ford dealer did not fix the problem. The RV service manager was a suspension specialist prior to working for the Ford dealer. He examined our F53 and had their mechanics "shim" the one side. I don't know that they actually did. The result is an effortless steering experience - no pulling and no wandering. It actually drives like a dream.

You may need to be aggressive with the local dealer. Mine said Ford covered alignment for 90 days from the effective date of the chassis warranty. I believe I would have saved a lot of time if I would have insisted on going on a ride with the service folks after they did their ineffectual work. A ride on a flat road will show if the problem is fixed.

I have had alignments done before and it always helped except a Class A I had with the F53 chassis and the fix for it was a Steer Safe I had installed. Made a world of difference.

Tried to get into Haag Ford in Lawrenceburg, IN for alignment (they do Ford RV warranty) and was told the Leprechaun wouldn't fit on their machine!!!
Taking it to truck service on Monday who can handle it.

Our local Ford dealer can't handle them either. I always go to a local truck shop that does a good job. Hoping to use them....

OK, Finally got the alignment done. Was only $100. I guess they only had to deal with toe-in and out. Caster and Camber were OK. Haven't had a chance to drive it on a highway to check it out and may not until next year.

Spoke with my dealer and was told that all or some of the cost would be taken care of which I'm happy about. I took it to the truck place I wanted to. Just need to take them the receipt. It had to be less than 90 days old and under 3000 miles. With the trip I just made, it had 2800 miles on it.

Sorry that I didn't have levelers installed at factory. Was going to and changed my mind, and now wish I had. So, I called and told them to order me some. Going Saturday to look at one with Big Foot levelers on it to see if it's what I want...

More later with pics if I can....

Did you check your sticker to see how much weight you have available to carry?

Planning on a trip out to Denver this summer and wondering how many miles is reasonable to do in a day.
What did you do on your trip?
