Well I betcha can guess I'm a nugget at this motor home thing. Picked up my FR Georgetown (2000) drove it to the storage facility yesterday. first time driving a HOUSE and made it with out too much screams of terror from the BW while we drove across the metroplex at 4pm on Friday. I noticed the lanes on the road were VERY narrow and those concrete barriers are not what the NASCAR folks refer to as "safer barriers" but as we said when we would play sports "no blood, no foul" I tried to put gas in the beast but after about 10 gals. I noticed the aroma gas, and when I looked under the beast there was a sizable puddle of motion lotion leaking from near the tank. I decided to stop fueling..... and carefully moved said beast from the pooling fuel. After crawling under and perusing the situation it appeared to be at the filler pipe to tank connection. I purchased a screw driver and tightened the hose clamps as best I could. After driving across the metroplex I tried to fill the tank again. Still leaking from the connection. Well it was getting dark and since it wasn't leaking when just sitting I parked it at the storage facility. Again crawled under and this time removed the hose connection. Then the funniest thing happened. We locked the beast up. There was a dead bolt on the door so I turned the deadbolt, and exited through the drivers door after pushing the lock button on the door. I had to do this because I couldn't figure out how to retract the steps unless I turned the key in the ignition. When I climbed out and shut the door I realized I had never seen a key to the dead bolt. So I tried all the keys and nothing worked So today I spent the best part of the morning waiting for a lock smith and then watched him try all the tricks a lock smith has and still ended up drilling out the lock.$150.00 and no dead bolt. I could go on and talk about the trouble finding a fuel hose and the correct dead bolt but I'm tired, it's locked up and I need a magarita. Oh, Happy New Year Ya'll

Hi speed3,
Welcome to iRV2. Just wait until you begin to use the coach. After 33 years doing this, I keep a note pad nearby at all times. I find it helpful to jot down things that need to be done, at the time I realize they need to be done.
