Berkshire Navigation

Is the navigation that is on the Bershire's an RV navigation? Does it factor in height and weight of the vehicle? Thanks.

I just bought a 2019 and have only used the nav once. I need to go into set up to see if it take height and length, I will be watching your post to see what others say. I have mine stored for the winter 2 hours away and don't have access to look at it now.

First of all, thank you for your service. I just bought an '18 34qs and I'm waiting to take delivery, which is why I can't check either. Hopefully others will have an answer.

Don't know about the Berkshire but many RVs use a version of the Rand McNally GPS. Which does have a setup page where you tell it your height, weight and length. From that information it will attempt to navigate accordingly. Whenever our GPS conflicts with Waze directions, it usually has something to do with "trucker route" verse "car route". After Waze took our 18 ton coach over a small bridge with a 10 ton weight rating, I learned to chose the Rand over Waze when conflicts occur.

Yes, it takes height and weight into account and provides pertinent navigational routes.

Yes, our Berkshire's navigation system factors all that info in, although we don't use ours for that. We have a Garmin RV770 GPS that we use. It gives more accurate info and its portable so we can use it in our TOAD also. We mainly just use the Berkshire's nav system for the rear camera. Although, we also installed a button camera in each side mirror arm, each with its own monitor, for helpful traffic views and as a safety tool when parked (camera view is down each side of the coach). Cameras/monitors were bought on Amazon and my husband did the install.
