If there is not to be a forum on Coachman motorhomes in the near future; there is more than one way to skin a cat------why not start one by starting a thread on Coachmans?
Heres a start:
I have a 1999 Coachman Catilina just purchased 6 months ago used; so far so good; replaced two jacks CB radio; and some minor repairs. Love the motorhome. only got to use it once so far; am planning my summer 3 month trip and will leave on that the first of June.
Have fun with the Post folks.

North---was thinking of maine, but I'm told the state of maine was not RV friendly, haven't been there for a few years. When people ask where I'm headed I usually just point north and answer; thats the way I'm going. Florida; (thats where my home is). is just hot and sticky in the summer; I haven't spent a summer here in 25 years..
I finally got my guages (grey and black tanks) working right; I installed the no flushers that I got from camper world, these things realy clean out the tanks.
Anyone that has guages that don't work, these things most likly will fix the problem.

I agree, I have been looking for a Coachman Forum. I am on my third coachman, A Shasta Mini, a 29' Crosscountry and now a 38' Crosscountry. We love our current motorhome, plenty of room both inside and storage and get approx 10MPG driving 60 MPH.
I have had minor problem with each, but overall they have been good motorhomes.
I would like to hear from other Coachman owners and discuss the good and bad points and what upgrades you have installed.

This is for coachman catilina owners with grey and black water sensors that either don't work or are eratic; neither of my sensors worked properly; the solution was to install a no fuss flushers in the tanks (bought from camper world). These things realy clean out the tanks and now my both guages work as they should.

you sure do; you have to install the ---no fuss flushers that can be purchased at www.camper world.com (look camper world up on the internet)
----If you have a coachman catilina that has the large storage whole in
the back; your half way there, Inside that whole on the right side is a panel with screws in it, remove the screws and behind that panel is your grey and black holding tanks.
if you get this far; get back to me, I'll get you through the rest of the way.

We have a 2006 Coachmen Epic class A which was a dinosaur after 1 year as they were only made for 1-1/2 years. We are very happy with it tho we have had a few issues along the way, all covered by Coachmen or Workhorse chassis.

Robert I have a 2000 Catalina. You must have the lesser "Catilina" or your letters are fading

I'm going now to my local Camping World and pick this up. If it don't clear my sensors I should have to send Guido to find you.

Giudo is not a nice man.

Hey GaterDog
I've had 4 used motorhomes in the past 25 years; in every single one of them the sensors wouldn't read correctly, I installed the no fuss flushers in each one, I flush my tanks each time I dump; in every last one of those motorhomes the guages worked correctly right up to the time I sold them.

If you have a 2000 catilina it's most likley like mine (a 1999) catilina; when you get the flushers installed, do like I did ---Went to walmart and got 2 ten foot hoses; used the whole saw that I used to cut the holes in the holding tanks to install the flushers and cut a whole over to the dump valve compartment and ran the hoses over there, that way when I dump I can flush my tanks. I went to builders supply and got some of that expandle fome that comes in a spray can to seal the holes that I cut in the sewer compartment.
Once you get these installed you won;t regret it-----your tanks will always be clean.
