Talking Convex Mirror Broken

Hi All,

I would like to share one of my experiences with being a Coachmen Orphan.
A couple weeks ago my grandson brought the driver side lower convex mirror, which just fall off the MH setting in the driveway.
I figured I could replace this -- no big deal -- was I wrong or what --.
I first started here searching and did find a few folks that had the same problem, but different name MH's.
I used most of their input from threads here and goggle - not knowing the brand name, contacted the 2 mirror companies that they had used, -Wrong again- when I told them what is went on, they all would laugh or just wish me good luck but couldn't/wouldn't help me further, back to goggle and our forum, next check all part house and one truck stop that sold accessories no luck.
At this time got a lead from a friend, he said just call or email Forest River, sound OK, email Driver and got a response from a very hopeful person name Chris M. after sending him 4 pictures of the mirror and the M/H, got a note back that all he needed was my VIN number, VIN number was sent in minutes and got back in minutes the part number and a phone number to order, now I feeling ,that was Tuesday 10/14/2014, called number and ordered.
We waited until today Friday 10/17/2014, to call the number Chris had given, mainly because we show no charge on our credit card, I call the number, which is Giant Recreation World in Florida, they showed that the part was on order and after talking to the fellow, who was helping me said the part would be coming from the "Coachmen Factory", I did a "WAG" and he said he would call the same Chris that I got the part number from,
after some more discussion, founded out if your M/H was made
before 2010
parts are handled by Giant Recreation World in Florida
after 2010 see Forest Rivers parts
The fellow at GRW was to call me this afternoon with what's going on but no cigar yet, I do still believe.
I forgot the price $60.00 plus $10 shipping
Like folks here I'm not flaming anyone and have LOL a couple times, I feel sure I will get my mirror someday, but I leaving Mon. for a camping trip with a glued together mirror on board -- Life Is Good.

Hi Everyone,
We are almost ready with the broken mirror, glued the two pieces together and added Gorilla tape to back, covered front crack with some chrome tape.
Added 4 pea size silicone adhesive sealant spots and masking tape in place until tomorrow.
Trip will be only 60 miles by back roads to Cotton Hill COE in Ft. Gaines, Georgia.

Update

HI Everyone,

We came back early from our lake trip, both wife and myself have come down with a terrible chest cold.
I called again today for a update or any info on my mirror, got a very helpful person this time, she said she would followup and get back to us ASAP
She called back in less that 30 minutes and said the mirror was on their pull guide and would be shipped this Thursday and we should receive it by next Thursday.

All is Good

Hope to leave again this Sunday for a week this time.
