I bought a pizza stone because I heard that it can make the oven cook much more evenly. It is 15 x 12. When I put it in, it covers up the vent holes on the 15" direction. I can fit it in straight or turned sideways. So, either the vent holes in the front and back are blocked or the vent holes on each side.
Does anyone know the best way to cut the pizza stone?

Take it to a place that does ceramic tile. They should be able to cut the stone for you. You could buy a diamond stone cutting disc and use it on your grinder or saw.
You might also just buy some smaller, unglazed terra cotta tiles. Used those in our home oven for years when we had one that didn't heat evenly - works great, food safe, heat safe, cheap... and cuttable with a cheap "score and break" tile cutter.
