De-winterizing a brand new R-Pod 178

Greetings all!

We're the proud owners of a brand new R-Pod and plan to "de-winterize" the trailer in the next day or two. During the orientation, the dealer walked us through the steps but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or knows of any Utube or other resources to guide us step by step? Thanks in advance. Along the same lines, if anyone has created or uses any "check lists" they use for the various steps to take for when the trailer is prepped for towing, or set up for camping, or set up to leave the campground, etc.---those, too would be helpful. Can you tell we are "rookies"? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone has. Mike

One problem with dewinterising a rig that was winterised by someone else is to know exactly what they did.

For instance, as a last step, I remove the strainer from the pump and run it a bit longer to make sure there is no water still inside. I drain the HWS and leave the drain plug out. I tape over the HWS mains switch in the bathroom and turn off the mains switch on the back of the HWS as a backup. Propane is turned off and low point and tank drains are left open. Under-sink water filter is removed etc etc. People do various things to try and stop critters from wrecking the place and often solar system settings are changed for long-term storage. Icemakers and washing machines usually get special treatment.

Forgetting to put any of these back to normal condition before refilling with water and hooking up to the mains power and water will cause inconvenience or a major flood or a burnt-out heater element or malfunctioning systems. No simple fix but take it slow and double check and monitor as you liven things up should work

So far so good on the de-winterization. We've filled up the water, flushed the anti-freeze out of all the faucets and toilet, re-filled the tank with the sanitizing mix, flushed again and now the tank with the mix is sitting (3 hour minimum) before we drain that and do the remaining steps. We are planning a short weekend trek to the Olympic peninsula just to have an opportunity to try out the trailer...going to a park with power and water hookup (easing Into it).
